We may have the notion that successful people simply have the Midas touch. They must have been born into wealth or had a lucky break.
The goals successful people achieve can seem way too big for the likes of us and even a little bit scary too! You may feel that their life in comparison to where you are on the success scale is difficult to relate to.
SUCCESS IS AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY
It may surprise you to learn that success has more to do with how you FEEL than virtually anything else – and how you feel is largely a habit that you have developed over time.
We [humans] operate on an emotional scale. Our feelings change constantly, unless you learn to keep them more consistent through various techniques and practises such as meditation, self-talk and hypnosis.
WHAT ARE YOUR BELIEFS AROUND SUCCESS?
Everyone grows up with beliefs on all kinds of subjects and none is more pronounced that the subject of money.
Society largely equates success with wealth creation but of course that isn’t necessarily so. You could be the best Mum, or a magnificent sports coach to children or you could be a happy beach bum but nonetheless the word success is more readily sprinkled over the financial achievers.
Your beliefs about success are more powerful than you may realize and you only have to consider some of the sayings we hear about money to prove this point.
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
“Money is the root of all evil” (A twist on the true meaning that has stuck)
“A penny saved is a penny earned.”
“Money can’t buy you happiness.”
“You can be young without money, but you can’t be old without it.”
“There’s nothing in the world so demoralizing as money.”
“Health is better than wealth.”
And so on.
We are unconsciously indoctrinated by beliefs around money from an early age, therefore shifting these beliefs will go a long way to creating more helpful beliefs around money and personal achievement.

‘I release the need for this in my life’.” – Wayne Dyer
It sounds simple enough and it certainly is the starting point as Wayne alludes to.
THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE
Humans always seek the path of least resistance. When we feel overwhelmed we get stressed and nobody likes to feel stressed and out of control.
Of course some people are risk takers and they thrive on the thrill of an adrenalin rush but most of us would rather avoid it.
We see people who have their own businesses with no time to enjoy their family or their life and we think, “I don’t want to be like that.” Rightly so! Who wants to be so busy that they are run ragged?
If success to you means hard graft you may unconsciously push against it thus sabotaging your goals. It may be that you have a little bit of success every now and then but can’t seem to fully nail it.
EMOTIONS ARE THE DOMAIN OF YOUR UNCONSCIOUS MIND
The good news is that you can reshape your old patterns of belief around money by thinking and feeling differently.
Because your emotions are the domain of your unconscious mind there is an easy way to change your beliefs for more supportive ones that will fuel inspired action towards success.
