This yo-yo dieting, rather than the desired weight loss, causes your body to store more fat. This leads to uncomfortable cravings, feeling deprived, mood-swings and when willpower caves in, a desperate sense of failure.
In this scenario most people end up putting some or all the weight they have lost back on again. If you have experienced this, you will know only too well just how disheartening and stressful it can be.
Achieving weight loss may be as simple as changing a few habits or may require a complete lifestyle change. Either way, for weight loss to be successful it needs to fit in with what works for you in such a way that it does away with all the struggle that has come before.
Moreover, you want to let go of the struggle and obsession with weight and actually enjoy what you eat without guilt.
How hypnosis helps with weight loss
Hypnosis is an effective way to help with weight loss because it gently changes how you think and feel about food, your self-identity and your motivation on an emotional level. Getting your unconscious mind involved with your weight loss plan is a relaxing way to train your mind to help you lose weight naturally.
When I work with clients to help them lose weight, we also discuss many areas that are often overlooked when attempting to lose weight by yourself – without outside help. My training takes into consideration the psychological aspects that are not commonly known. Without this focus it’s like trying to make a recipe without essential ingredients.
Another technique I frequently use with my clients is EFT Tapping and has a similar effect as hypnosis.
EFT can help you uncover the emotional blocks, emotions or earlier experiences that have made losing weight so difficult. Very often, we are unaware of the emotional patterns that drive our behaviour. Releasing them is like finding the key that finally unlocks the door to successful weight loss or any other self-sabotage behaviour.
